Howlina - Day 5 - The Map

I very often get carried away with this exercise:

"draw out the physical contours of your map, and then identify at least three places that your people might live."


A couple of things I want to point out:
Black is high mountains with snow peaks of white.
Dark green is conifer forests on slightly lower mountain levels
Light green is deciduous forests in the foothills
The pale green is grasslands
The gray is the deadlands
The house symbol in the middle is the capital and oldest city.

The island is centered on 32W and 32S in the middle of the South Atlantic.  It is about 350 miles long and 200 miles wide giving it an area approximately equal to the US State of Illinois.
